All Together Now
Single Stream Recycling Made Easy. Click here.
Recycle like you've never recycled before.
This exciting new collection program is now city-wide!
Now you can put cans, glass, mixed paper, cardboard and plastic containers out at the curb in the same recycling bin.
If one recycling bin isn’t enough to hold everything, just add another container.
Whether you’re a regular recycler or a first-timer, keep this new information handy:
Metal:
Tin and aluminum cans, empty aerosol cans, empty paint cans
Glass:
Jars and bottles
Mixed Paper:
Newspaper, magazines, mail (junk and personal), phone books, food boxes (remove plastic liner), computer paper, flyers, wrapping paper (no foil or plastic wrap), soda and beer cartons (no food-soiled paper, please!)
Plastic Containers:
Recycle #1 and #2 plastics ONLY (mostly beverage and detergent containers). These containers have narrow necks and wider bottoms. Check the underside of each container for the number 1 or 2. All container lids are recyclable and best if removed from containers.
Cardboard:
Empty and flattened
Click here to find out when your trash and recycling day is, or call the Philadelphia Recycling Hotline at 215-685-RECYCLE (7329).You may also dial 311 for Philadelphia’s general info line.
